From a website for an urban lifestyle development and naming a specialty toy store to a direct mail campaign for a local nonprofit, Dena has worked with a diverse range of clients over the years. Her experience as a project manager keeps things organized and timely while her creative side can’t help but bring new ideas to the table.
Approach
The key to any good relationship, whether it’s with a client, your parents or your gynecologist, is communication. Dena likes to listen, ask questions and listen again. Once she understands the story, the objectives, what the competition is doing and how the audience is feeling, she can come up with options that are creative and on target. Even if she’s just editing something you already wrote, knowing what you want that copy to do informs the edits she makes. Copy can be straightforward, clever or (insert colorful adjective), but it’s got to do something. Otherwise it just sits there like the last scoop of potato salad that’s been sitting in the sun for two hours. Nobody wants that.
